A Throwback on Super Scaling in the SEGA Arcades Style: Victory Heat Rally
Updated: Nov 11, 2020
Today, we have here a PC video game very promising with the demo version shown on SAGE 2020. We talk about "Victory Heat Rally", a racing indie game that has great similarities with the other two games of the genre: Power Drift and Penny Racers.
The game itself is very fun and attractive. It uses the famous graphic style that was very common in SEGA arcade games from the '80s and '90s, the Super Scale, that allows sprites zooming and rotating, giving to player a 3D sensation of the game. The cars, as well as your pilots, are very charismatic and the soundtrack is superb, which music remembers very well the arcade games of that era. The controls are fluid and allow the player a good movement of the cars during the curves, better yet, curves are the point necessary to doing Drifts, if you want to win your opponents.
Actually, this fun indie game is in development and being financed on Kickstarter. According to Skydevilpalm, the game, besides PC, is planned to be released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. You can see the gameplay right here and download the demo by clicking on the link below:
