B E Y O N D: Investigate Anomalies in Pluto's Orbit in this Simulation Adventure Game
B E Y O N D is a third-person indie adventure and simulation game produced by Stefano Cagnani and published on June 20 of that year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". The game was produced for the Exploration June Jam and in it you control an astronaut who, aboard his space shuttle, travels towards a space station in orbit around Pluto to solve a problem there. Upon arriving there, he discovers an unknown point in space that will pose a serious risk to him.
As in practically every work produced by Cagnani, this one is another game inspired by a movie known to the public (in this case, the game was based on 2001: A Space Odyssey, by Stanley Kubrick). The gameplay is simple and only serves to lead the player to the plot. You control both the space shuttle and the astronaut, with commands that vary depending on the plot. The graphics are basically the same as the other Cagnani games: the space visuals are beautiful and the graphics are well done. The soundtrack is composed of some songs taken from the film, and nothing else.
B E Y O N D has a short campaign, and can be completed in just over 30 minutes. Like every good game based on a movie produced by Cagnani, it's always good to check out this one and see an original story set in the universe of Kubrick's science fiction work.
