BASH: A Doom-style FPS Game where You Annihilate Everything in Sight to Stay Alive
Bash is a short indie first-person shooter action game that was produced by Pocket Fun and published on December 13th of this year, on the itch.io platform. Bash was produced as an entry for 7DFPS 2021, a game jam focused on FPS games. The game features strong inspirations from Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal and doesn't need to be plotted: You just take up arms and kill everything you see in front of you.
There's not much to talk about Bash: The game presents the proposal of being a fast-paced, aggressive and fast FPS, much like the last two games in the Doom franchise released recently, so much so that the premise is the same: shoot on everything you see and use a melee attack on your opponent if he starts flashing red to drop items. You go hitting enemies until you die. As for the visual aspects, the game presents an interesting yet simple look.
If I have to point out a problem with Bash here, it would be this: it lacks a little more substance, but since it's a game made for a game jam, it's up to the developer to decide whether to go ahead and make it a more promising game and much more developed from now on, or just treat it as a project. It remains for us to wait.
