BLOOD BRANCHED SAKURA: Eliminate Mercenaries and Protect Your Clan in this Amazing Action Game

Blood Branched Sakura is a short indie third-person stealth action game that was produced by Dedreek and published on April 14th of this year on the itch.io platform. In the game, you are a girl from a family of shinobi who have their house invaded by mercenaries while their parents are away. Completely newbie and dealing with the fact that you will have to shed blood if you want to follow the same path as your parents, you decide to take up your sword and protect your territory, either by stealth methods or by transforming yourself into a ruthless killing machine.

In terms of graphics, Blood Branched Sakura is very well done. The game features a well-improved pixel art look, with good lighting, and a top-down camera, where you have a good view of your surroundings, serving to predict before attacking. Gameplay is the highest point here: you can choose to use stealth or attack without weighing the consequences. When using stealth, you can tell if the tactic is working or not by seeing the character image in the upper left corner of the screen, along with the energy and stamina bar. If the image becomes dark, it means that the place is suitable for hiding, and thus waiting for the necessary time to attack an enemy from behind. In addition to this tactic, you have several items such as shurikens, spikes, needles and even bombs, all of which are executed according to your strategy.

Also, the game rewards well when using stealth. At certain times, if you spend the game attacking from the shadows, you will receive skill points, which can be used to improve your skills at each end of the stage. Your Stamina, Agility or Defense can be improved depending on the points you have on hand.
