DEAD CONTAINMENT: Survive a City Under Siege Full of Zombies in this FPS On-rails Game
Dead Containment is a first-person, rail-based shooter produced by Grump Dog Games and with a demo version published on March 9, 2020, with an update released on June 23 of this year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". Dead Containment does not have a defined plot at this time. The only thing we know so far is that in the game you control an agent who finds himself in a city under siege and full of zombies. To escape this city unscathed, you count three types of weapons to do good damage to these flesh-eating monsters.
There's not much surprise here: Dead Containment is a game heavily inspired by SEGA's same genre franchise, The House of the Dead. Here you just control the crosshairs with the mouse and switch weapons with the keys 1 to 3, all while your character walks alone through the most varied places, some of them even requiring quick responses to certain situations, from choosing which direction to take, and being able to lead to some reward or more hordes of zombies in front of you, to save victims, preventing zombies from killing them and thus earning bonuses.
The visual part is interesting: the characters were produced in low poly, and the soundtrack is pretty cool, enough to bring adrenaline to the player. The gameplay, as mentioned above, is very simple and only consists of using the mouse. In addition, it features Light Gun pistol support, which makes the experience more fun, just like in online co-op mode. There is a forecast for control support, as well as a more elaborate arsenal and new stages.
Dead Containment is currently in development, and is expected to be released in Autumn 2021. You can check the gameplay of the game by clicking on this link here and, if you're interested, you can play the demo (and also put it on your wishlist) at one of the links below:
