DEAD OF WINTER: Investigate your Husband's Disappearance as You Evade a Stalker in this Horror Game

The Copperport Casefiles: Dead of Winter is a short horror indie first-person puzzle game that was produced by ProfessorStitch and published on January 8th of this year on the itch.io platform. The story of Dead of Winter takes place in December 1984, and you control Lydia Herdwick, a medical examiner who, after a few months of non-stop work, finally takes a weekend to be with her husband at home. But what would be a quiet and special weekend, ends up becoming a nightmare, because when she wakes up, she discovers that her husband has disappeared and someone has invaded her house.

The game is the third in a series of games that gamedev is making, all themed (both visually and narratively) of classic horror, inspired by the movies of the 40s and 50s. In terms of graphics, Dead of Winter may not have a realistic look or sensational textures, but visually it's a well-made game. The gameplay is focused on the puzzle, but it's in the lightest style, that is, you find items that will serve to open places and other objects. In addition, you collect evidence, which has information that deepens the narrative and events that happen in that world.
