FORLORN: Use the Environment to Your Advantage to Avoid Getting Caught by Strange Creatures

Forlorn is a short indie third-person adventure game with horror touches that is being produced by godcomplex.games and that published a prototype version on March 24th of this year, being available on the itch.io platform. In Forlorn, you wake up in a mysterious world called Ylvarrah, known as the realm of the dead. In this prototype, your objective is to find a way out of the caves, using the entire environment to your advantage.

The game itself is very well done. It has great graphics and a very interesting setting and lighting. Gameplay is simple but functional within a prototype. You can move, jump, run, crouch and shoot whatever you have on hand. Crouching and stealth is key in this game, apparently, as there are times when you have to get past strange creatures that react to sound, which requires using various gimmicks to draw their attention away from the path you want to take. Also, there are times when you need to trigger certain mechanisms to enable parts of the path you need to go through.
