FOUR TRAVELERS*: See the Story of Four Lives on the Train of the Dead in this Adventure Game
*If on A Winter´s Night, Four Travelers (or Four Travelers, to short the title) is a horror and adventure game produced by Dead Idle Games, and published on December 1st, 2020, and updated on March 10th this year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In the game, you follow the stories of four different characters in a masked ball on a train sometime in the 1920s.
The game is basically a point-and-click focused on narrative, with many dialogues. In terms of visuals, the game is very well produced. Thomas Möhring's pixel artwork is excellent, the sets and characters are full of life, very lively and full of details. The soundtrack is very good, ranging from public domain songs arranged by Laura Hunt, who also did the sound design, script and game programming. In addition, the game addresses several sensitive topics, such as racism, mental disorders and even homophobia.
If on A Winter's Night is a relatively short game, and can be finished in about an hour and a half, almost two. In addition, the replay factor is a little weak not only here but also in almost every game of the genre. Still, it's an excellent game, with an intriguing horror environment.
