GAR-TYPE - Download PC Game

Gar-Type is an excellent shmup that mixes Garfield and R-Type.

Gar-Type is a shmup shooter game developed by Lumpy where you play a parody of R-Type with characters inspired by Garfield where your world is about to be swallowed by a giant planet and you need to use your ship to destroy the core and save humanity.

In Gar-Type we have excellent visuals, typical of the developer, and the use of a more purple palette, with a good use of lights and darks. The gameplay is entirely using the mouse where you shoot with the left mouse button and use the special shot with the right mouse button. The right button also performs a movement when held down that allows you to go to another part of the scene without being hit by any shots, but you need precision and speed to use it.

The game has 4 stages, all with a boss at the end and several death animations and cutscenes. Gar-Type is a game that really pleases shmup fans and can be downloaded for free.
