HYPERMNESIA: Escape a Delusion Caused by Your Own Mind in this Platform Game
Hypermnesia is an indie platform game produced by lionel leboulanger and published on the indie gaming platform "itch.io" on the 25th of January this year. In the game, you control a character who, due to mental illness, experiences a moment of delirium. He ends up waking up in an abandoned building full of strange spores. It is up to you to find a way to escape the building, even if you have to use these spores.
Originally produced as a game for Android and as a school project, the developer chose to work more on the project and port the game to the PC, and this is what we evaluate here. The game does not have a defined plot: the cutscenes occur between the phases, and through them, we can understand what is going on in this world.
The look of the game is very simple, but it has its charm, which is not bad for a short game. The gameplay works very well, but there are certain parts of the building that could be better worked: I had a little difficulty in making the wall jump because the dash came with the jump, which was very difficult.
Despite being a very short game, it is worth taking a look. You can watch the gameplay of the game by clicking here, or have the experience of playing by downloading it (PC or Android) by clicking on the link below:
