Mechanical Star Astra: A Fun and Challenging Shoot'em Up Arcade that Nods to the days of old
Mechanical Star Astra is a bullet hell shoot'em up indie game that presents all the characteristics of arcade gameplay and visual that remembers the old classic games of the genre. Here, you control a character that, by piloting one of three spaceships on the game, has a mission of annihilating berserk machines that want to wipe out what remains of Earth, now called New Humanity.
In terms of gameplay, it's your typical cool gameplay similar to other good arcade games of the genre. You move your ship in any direction, shoot and use special attacks, as well as the two-player mode. About the graphics, the game has the very same and so neat pixelated style, as well as being very colorful in some moments. The soundtrack is excellent and follows all the game aesthetics.

Mechanical Star Astra é um jogo indie de nave e tiroteio ao estilo bullet hell que apresenta todas as características visuais e jogabilidade arcade que remete aos velhos e clássicos jogos do gênero. Aqui, você controla um personagem que, pilotando uma das três naves apresentadas no jogo, têm a missão de aniquilar máquinas descontroladas que querem apagar o que restou da Terra, agora chamada de New Humanity.
Em termos de gameplay, é o típico gameplay bacana semelhante a outros bons jogos arcade do gênero. Você move sua nave para toda e qualquer direção, atira e usa ataques especiais, além de um modo para dois jogadores. Quanto aos gráficos, o jogo apresenta o mesmo estilo pixelado bem caprichado e que é tendência em muito jogo indie focado em aspectos retrô, além de serem bem coloridos em alguns momentos. A trilha sonora é excelente, e acompanha toda a estética do jogo.
