METAL: HELLSINGER: Slay Hordes of Demons in a Journey of Vengeance, Destruction and Metal Music
Metal: Hellsinger is an indie first-person shooter, action and rhythm game that is being produced and developed by The Outsiders, and is expected to release sometime this year. However, a demo version of the game was published on the Steam platform, being available for those who want to try it out. In Metal: Hellsinger, you are The Unknown, a being part human, part demon, who faces off against hordes of demons on a journey of revenge, an obsession that will only end with the death of The Red Judge herself.
If you like heavy metal and its aspects, and you are a fan of the new games in the Doom franchise, then Metal: Hellsinger is for you. The game apparently draws heavily from not just Doom's source, but all imagery and stereotypes from heavy metal culture as a whole. The graphics are excellent, really excellent, both in its characters and in the environment, but the main focus here (and the fun too) is on account of its gameplay: the game is an FPS full of action and adrenaline, which is measured by a rhythm system, that is, each stage features a song, and that song evolves as you attack following the rhythm, causing your damage multiplier to increase more and more and which in turn helps the song evolve. And speaking of music, Metal: Hellblade has an enviable team of artists from the medium, who helped compose the soundtrack for this game, artists ranging from Serj Tankian (System of a Down), Alyssa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy ) and Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) to iconic figures like Björn Strid (Soilwork), Matt Heafy (Trivium) and Tatiana Shmalyuk (Jinjer).
Without a doubt, Metal: Hellsinger is a fast-paced action game, with a soundtrack that will keep you in the chair and entertain you for hours. This game is worth checking out as soon as it comes out.
