RAYKA: Use 8 Pistols at the Same Time and Kill Whatever Comes Your Way in this Shooting Game

Updated: Feb 1, 2021

RAYKA is a short indie game produced by voxel for a Gamejam and published on January 30th of that year, on the "itch.io" platform. The game has no storyline and the premise is simple: go and kill whatever comes your way, from dogs to monsters.

In terms of graphics, the game apparently uses a feature called "raycasting", which creates a 3D visual perspective from a 2D map, exactly the same feature used in games like Wolfenstein 3D, which is pretty cool. The soundtrack is, to say the least, interesting and the gameplay is typical of games of the genre.

The game is very short, with only 3 maps and without a proper ending (the game even breaks the fourth wall and plays with the player, indicating secret places and when those places are reached, the game prevents you from crossing the doors, leaving no options but to press the Esc key to exit the game), but still worth playing in your spare time.
