STREETLIGHT INSOMNIA 2: Investigate the Cause of a Flood in a Lakeside Town in this Horror Game
Streetlight Insomnia: Flooding of Mykolaiv (aka Streetlight Insomnia 2) is a short indie First-person Shooter, Survival Action game with a twist of psychological horror that was produced by Jonniemadeit and published on November 30th, 2021. Streetlight Insomnia 2 is a direct sequel to the first game, and here, you return once again as Clint, who, after the events of the first game and an exhausting year of work, takes a vacation in the town of Mykolaiv, Ukraine. However, in March 1993, the city ends up being taken by the waters, due to a flood, and Clint must investigate the cause.
The game features a lot of inspiration from Team Silent's work, particularly the Silent Hill franchise. In addition, he also drew inspiration from the Lovecraftian horror film Dagon (2001). Unlike the first game, which had a third-person view, here the game is entirely in first-person, giving more immersion to the atmosphere provided. The graphics are inspired by several PSX games, fully low-poly and serrated. The gameplay is very simple, typical of indie games of the genre.
