The House in The Woods is a first-person horror, simulation and indie adventure game produced by MINIGOLIATH and published on April 13, 2020, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In The House in The Woods you control a backpacker who went camping in the middle of the forest with his friend. However, during the night, you discover that she disappeared, leaving no traces. Guided by the cries for help, probably coming from your friend, you decide to venture into the forest to save her. However, you realize you are being followed when you see a person dressed in a strange white robe who appears and disappears out of nowhere.
The game was produced by a Game Jam produced in 2020 by the famous Haunted PS1 community, in 48 hours. According to gamedev, The House in The Woods was produced with strong inspiration from the movie The Blair Witch Project. And really, the game was really well inspired, as it provides an amazing and realistic experience of being completely lost and helpless in a forest, probably the same experience felt in the movie mentioned above. In terms of graphics, The House in The Woods presents a visual style similar to the most exquisite PSX games.
