THE MOON HAS FADED AWAY: Survive the Aftermath of the Moon's Disappearance on Humanity
The Moon Has Faded Away is an indie first-person survival horror game that is being produced by BlueBird Games and is currently in the development stage. A demo version of the game was published on the itch.io platform on February 1st of this year. In the game, you control Alex, who moves with his mother and little sister to an apartment in a big city. However, what would be a smooth process of adapting to the place, starts to become a terrible nightmare, after seeing that not only his mother, but also all the people around him started to demonstrate strange and even aggressive behavior, and that all this has to do with the mysterious disappearance of the Moon, something never seen before in the history of mankind.
In terms of graphics and visuals, the game is heavily inspired by the PSX era, with jagged graphics, low resolution and not very saturated colors. The soundtrack is something very cool to note here, since it varies a lot between classical and jazz music, apparently from the 30s. The gameplay is very simple, nothing too innovative. If you've played something like Slender or similar indie horror games, you'll have no problem here. The plot is very intriguing and the narrative holds the player in a certain way (I even finished the demo wanting to know about the disappearance of the Moon and the relationship of this event with humanity), which is very good by the way.
