THE PATRIOTS: Save Your Daughter and the President from a Coup d'Etat in this Action Game
The Patriots: Fight and Freedom is a third-person shooter indie action game produced by hammergames and published on September 12 this year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". In the game you control Ashley, who lived peacefully with her husband and son in a small town in the United States. On a certain day, you discover that a group has perpetrated a coup against the US government, overthrowing and arresting the president. Upon learning that there is a resistance that has rallied to try to save the head of state, Ashley takes up arms and joins her to save the country.
hammergames is already a well-known guy on this channel (remember that we've already played another game he produced, which is "Wounded Winter: A Lakota Story"), and it seems he has a certain interest in creating some aspect-based games historical and political. But let's stick to the technical aspects of the game here, starting with the graphics. The Patriots has a Low Poly style very similar to Wounded Winter, let's face it, it's an adopted style that turned out really good. The gameplay is very simple and fits very well to the action atmosphere proposed here. As for the soundtrack, there's not much to talk about here: it's average and only serves to give a little more atmosphere to the game both in terms of action and plot.
If there's one downside I could notice here, it's that it's pretty short. With about 17 minutes or less you can finish the game.
