TURTLE CITY: Explore a Bizarre Town Located on the Back of a Turtle in this Simulation Game

Turtle City is a first-person exploration and simulation indie game produced by SYNTHIA_2000 and published on August 17 of that year, on the indie gaming platform "itch.io". Turtle City's premise is simple: you must explore a surreal city that sits on the back of a giant turtle, meeting its bizarre population.

Like its premise, Turtle City exudes simplicity at its peak. Being produced for the Haunted PS1 community Game Jam, the Summer of Shivers 2021, the game is nothing more than a Walking Simulator, that is, you find yourself in a huge (or small, depending on the game) world, and its function comes down to just exploring the place. There are no interaction mechanisms or enemies to take down here. The horror aspect is practically weak here: it is used more to create a sinister and surreal environment than to actually scare.

In my opinion, Turtle City appears to have been made just to serve as a foundation for a game that is bigger in the future than a game itself. If I'm going to point out something positive here, maybe it would be the esthetics adopted here. The game uses a low poly look similar to PS1 games, giving that nostalgic vibe. Also, it is very short and can be finished in just a few minutes.
