WHISPER BEYOND THE HOLLOW: A Horror Game About a Disappeared Girl and a Macabre Cult
Whisper Beyond the Hollow is a first-person horror indie game that was created by "t e c h g o t h i c a" and released on November 7th of this year. Here, we control June which, along with your partner Ali, arrive in a house localized in the middle of nowhere and apparently abandoned. Both try to find Ali's sister, who has disappeared without a trace.
The game has a visual that goes back to the first PlayStation console aesthetics, presenting low-resolution textures and low-poly models. It's obvious that the game tried to emulate the epoch aesthetic, it even has an initial cutscene, as we have seen on Sony's 32-bit console games. The gameplay is simple, but works well inside the game's proposal; you can walk, run, jump, interact, and equip items. The soundtrack is nearly inexistent: the gameplay is involved in sound effects that work for the thrilling and horror feelings runs well here.
According to creators, Whisper Beyond the Hollow has begun as a short experience produced for the "Haunted PS1 Halloween Jam 2020" event but, apparently, they pretend to update the game through the months, even to the point of becoming a full version. At the end of the day, it's a good game, no more, no less. Check out the gameplay by clicking right here and download the game by clicking on the link below:
